Luxury Liveaboard Explores Biodiversity of Indonesia

The Arenui boutique liveaboard is a traditional and magnificent Phinisi, a classic Indonesian wooden sailing vessel, set to explore the majestic underwater world of the Indonesian archipelago. Dive with us throughout Indonesia, the world's no. 1 spot for biodiversity, including Komodo, Alor, Maluku, Raja Ampat and beyond! Then unwind with our professional massage and spa treatments.
Intimate but roomy, the Arenui is an exquisite ship and a work of art in itself with its wooden detailing and decorative touches. Moreover, it aims to differentiate itself from other liveaboards by providing personalized accommodation, services and facilities.
With 22 crew serving a maximum of 16 guests, we aim to make your cruise a truly relaxing and first-class experience! Our 3 Indonesian divemasters (Ali, Toby and Wawan) are rated amongst the most knowledgeable in the region. Ali was trained for many years by Larry Smith (“the legend” of Indonesian’s diving industry), Wawan has spent several years diving Raja Ampat and Komodo areas and Toby has an amazing knack for spotting rare critters (famous for being the first to spot the psychedelic frogfish in Ambon Bay). The whole operation is led by our 2 highly experienced western cruise directors, Jerry and Debbie.

Luxuriate in exceptionally spacious cabins, tastefully furnished with exquisite handicrafts from each of the Indonesian provinces. Rest easy knowing our vessel uses 70% recycled wood. Relax in our indoor restaurant or enjoy the view from our fabulous skydeck. Arenui believes that, even when sailing around remote islands, there's no reason to forego fine dining! After all, a relaxing meal prepared with care and style is the best way to remain full of energy for the next dive! Rather than the typical dive liveaboard buffets, you will be able to choose from our daily a-la-carte menus.
When it comes to the dive itineraries, the Arenui has chosen the best dive sites and the best times of year to explore these world famous destinations. Whether its nudibranchs and rhinopias you’re after, or manta rays and schooling fish, our cruises have it all. Plus, in Komodo, we even dive in the shadow of an active volcano to feel the bubbling hot springs, and take a stroll on land with Komodo’s giant lizard population.
ARENUI: Diving cruises without the hardship!
The Arenui dive liveaboard is a traditional and magnificent Phinisi, a classic Indonesian wooden sailing vessel, set to raise its anchors in June 2009 to begin its explorations of the majestic underwater world of the Indonesian archipelago.
The underlying concept of the Arenui is to provide you with the convenience of a fully equipped dive liveaboard together with all the richness, artistic touches and comforts of a top-notch luxury boutique hotel. Yet this is the only one that drops you off directly onto the best dive sites that Indonesia has to offer!
CABIN RAMA
The same attention to detail was given in designing our cruise itineraries which include not only all of the usual popular diving sites in Indonesia, renowned worldwide for its biodiversity, but other world-class destinations which have been overlooked so far by most recreational diving operators.
Our cruise programs include: Komodo, North and Central Sulawesi, Wakatobi and, for those looking for more unusual journeys, the New Frontiers of Raja Ampat, Maluku, Cenderawasih Bay, Alor, Flores and the Taka Bone Rate Atolls. Moreover, the dates of Arenui''s cruises have been planned in such a way as to ensure the most favorable weather conditions and the best sightings of marine life according to the destination.
We also offer unforgettable excursions to complete the ideal diving program and to make sure that you also have the chance to enjoy the amazing sights available on land.
CABIN BARONG

Our website is intended to give you an overview of our ship and a brief summary of some of the splendor to be found in Indonesia as well as a more in-depth look at each of the destinations that the Arenui explores. However, we also invite you to contact us should you have any queries or wish to receive additional information about any aspect of our cruises.
We thank you for your interest in the Arenui and look forward to being able to welcome you on board personally where you can experience for yourself an extraordinary luxury diving adventure full of unbelievable discoveries.
CABIN LEGONG

Arenui''s motto, "The Boutique Liveaboard", simply expresses our vision of providing our guests with both the highest quality offerings in terms of diving and leisure activities as well as exquisite accommodations and facilities. We think you''ll find it hard to dive any other way afterwards!
Accommodation. Each of the Arenui's cabins have been decorated and furnished in a stylish and inspirational manner according to a specific theme. The Arenui can host a maximum of 16 passengers who can luxuriate in exceptionally spacious cabins that are tastefully furnished with exquisite handicrafts from each of the Indonesian provinces. Each cabin, which far surpasses anything one would expect to find on a liveaboard (starting from 17 square meters), has a private en-suite bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning. A king-size bed and separate salon area assures our guests' comfort. The Arenui can be your private sanctuary and second home, but one located amidst a constantly changing tropical landscape!
CABIN SHINTA

Services and facilities. On the Arenui, all amenities, such as a full range of massage and spa treatments, are included with the intent to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible at all times. We constantly strive to ensure that our service is attentive yet relaxed, and never intrusive. We believe that this individual service and our personalized touches on board will make your holiday an unforgettable one.
Meals. We have given the same attention to making our meals extraordinary, from the setting to the décor and choice of dishes. Rather than the typical dive liveaboard buffets, you will be able to choose from our daily A la carte menus. Our food is plentiful, fresh, and centered around local and flown-in ingredients and our internationally trained chefs then add in their own touch of magic, drawing inspiration from local and international cuisine. Even lovers of gourmet cuisine are sure to discover new taste experiences.
Leisure activities. In addition to providing the perfect setting for enjoying the beautiful surrounding scenery in between dives or at the end of the day, our Skydeck and Indoor Bars are equipped with a full range of leisure and recreational facilities such as an on board spa, a computer with internet connection, as well as an extensive selection of books and movies in our library/entertainment centre for your relaxing moments.
