Toraja Heritage Hotel located in the heart of Tana Toraja , with a peaceful tropical 5 hectare garden and just 10 minutes away from Downtown Rantepao.
The hotel is set in rambling topical gardens, in the tradition of the Torajan settlements, is rest on a hilltop at 700 metres with superb views of the surrounding countryside.
At an altitude of 700 meters (2,300 feet) with views across to a huge mountain range, the TORAJA HERITAGE HOTEL follows the architectural style of traditional Torajan clan houses with a massive roof shaped like a ship’s prow. Inside however, the resort has been furnished to the highest standards to provide the perfect blend of tradition and comfort.
The orchid-shaped island of SULAWESI has a dramatic and rugged landscape with shimmering blue mountains, limestone hills and deep blue bays. At the crossroads of several historical sea lanes, the island was formerly a strategic trading port with the seafaring Bugies dominating the southern tip and the Toraja - with a culture based on animism - guarding the mountains to the north.
This ancient culture has been little affected by modern tourism and today Tana Toraja offers the visitor fascinating glimpses of a people whose unique customs and rituals have survived for centuries , and who, according to their mythology, are descendants of celestial beings from heaven.
The TORAJA HERITAGE HOTEL is the first four star International hotel in Toraja. The 160 rooms and suites have marble bathrooms and balconies facing the rice fields. Toraja handicrafts have been used to great effect in all the guest rooms, and all have international standard amenities.
An outdoor swimming pool overlooks the mountains. Mountain bikes are available for sightseeing, there is trekking in the surrounding hills and wild-water rafting on the nearby Sa’dan river.
After a day of touring, try a massage at our Marampa’ Spa and discovering our Aromatherapy scented sauna or sit in the oversized Jacuzzi and imagine yourself soaking in a pool in a bamboo forest. Two restaurants - the Marura, by the poolside, and the Sarira - provide excellent dining.

- 32 rooms in traditional house called tongkonan.
- Each Tongkonan consists of two rooms with the size of 45 sq. meters for each room.
- The 22 Deluxe rooms offer comfort and privacy of outdoor private shower, besides that all the rooms are also available for extra bed.
- Bedding : 26 King size bed and 11 Twin beds
2. Superior Room : USD 125 / Room / Nights
- 32 Superior roomsin traditional house ,
- Each tongkonan consists of four rooms with the size of 31 sq. meters. The superior rooms are not available for extra bed.
- Bedding : 18 Queensize beds and 14 Twin beds - 8 connecting rooms
3. Standard Room : USD 105 / Room / Nights
- 69 Standard Rooms, in classics habitats.
- The size of the room is 32 sq.
meter and is also available for extra bed. - Bedding : 11 Kingsize beds, 21 Queensize beds, 37 Twin beds - 24 connecting rooms

Offers 80 extra seats for large group or for special events with A’la carte or special set menu for lunch and dinner.

24 hours Room Service, provide A’la Carte menu for Lunch & Dinner, Door Knob Menu for Breakfast.
- Bamboo Bar :
International drinks / cocktails, special of the day and fresh local juice.
Happy hours from 17.00 – 19.00 everyday and the live music show.
- To’ Banga Bar :
Open air beside of swimming pool , provide International drinks / cocktails, fresh local juices and any kinds of snacks and ice cream.

Special Arrangements :
- Dinner at our garden is available for minimum 20 person, accompanied by the live music.
